Meanwhile, 1/3 of Israel's 200,000 remaining Holocaust survivors live in poverty and 1,000 die each month.

• Aviv Lenitzolei HaShoah is unique in that they provide legal help to survivors in collecting benefits. 50% of all survivors do not receive any government benefits.
• Blue Card Fund serves nearly 2,500 Holocaust survivor households The Blue Card serves, three-quarters are over the age of 75 and nearly 70% live alone.
• The Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel was established in 1994 by Holocaust survivors for Holocaust survivors. It is a non-profit organization. Contributions of USD $25 or more are tax deductible.
• The Survivor Mitzvah Project delivers 100% of donations to Holocaust survivors in Eastern Europe.
