ZÜLPICH AND GEICH

Zülpich is a city in the Euskirchen district with about 20,000 inhabitants, spread over the central city and 24 towns. It is about 20 minutes south of Nörvenich. In 1798, after the Rhineland fell to France, it became the French political or administrative subdivision of the region. The Church of St. Peter, first built in 848, was rebuilt several times until it was destroyed in World War II.
